Honourable Joana Gyan Cudjoe is the current Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central. She has a proven track record in entrepreneurship, gold mining and export, leadership and community- driven initiatives, spanning over 20 years. As a visionary Ghanaian woman, she founded Golden Empire Legacy Limited in 2016, and have grown it into a formidable and respected company which operates ethical and sustainable gold mining practices and community development. She is passionate about sustainable gold mining, wealth creation, national development and poverty alleviation in line with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically goals 5 (five) and 8(eight). She is a proud recipient of international awards,such as the Forbes Woman Africa Businesswoman and Leading Female Miner Awards 2021 and 2022, respectively,to name but a few. Her leadership transcends business to philanthropy and national politics where she has assiduously provided impactful social interventions, grassroots political mobilisations, advocacy, transparent governance and collaborative leadership.
